Things to do in Cromford
A natural heritage site, Cromford is maybe best known for its connection with Richard Arkwright, an entrepreneur during the industrial revolution, along with Cromford Mills, the factory he built. It’s a nice, peaceful part of the Peak District with plenty to do and see. Here are some of our top recommendations for a day out in Cromford.
Go Shopping
Cromford is home to a good number of independent shops, making it a great place to ‘shop local.’ One of Cromford’s best known shops is Scarthin Books, which was actually listed on The Guardian Online’s 10 Best Bookshops in the World.
Cromford Mills

The current factory site hosts regular events, there is also a repair shop and a coworking space on site.

They’ll be given the chance to practice their aim in the target range before battling it out in the arena!
